This will be a short trip report. This morning, Walter Ezell and I left the house shortly before 7:00 am on a 3-hour trip to Stone Mountain State Park in Alleghany County, North Carolina. Stone Mountain is a dome of exposed granite of Devonian age, which has intruded into the gneiss of the Precambrian Alligator
